About Bacteriostatic Water

Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The alcohol holds back bacterial growth, so one vial can be used many times.

It is the standard diluent for mixing lyophilized peptides in research settings. BAC water rather than plain sterile water gives the mixed solution a longer usable life.

Available in 10 ml and 30 ml vials. Store at room temperature before opening, then refrigerate after first use.
