Research peptides in Vancouver
Vancouver is the closest big city to our warehouse and the shortest long-haul leg we run. It is a major urban centre, so it sits in the fast band of our published estimate, and the parcel stays domestic the whole way.
Lux BioPure is a Canadian research-materials business. We hold stock in our own warehouse in Alberta, send every batch to an outside lab before it goes on sale, and publish the certificate that lab writes. Everything below is about how an order reaches Vancouver: what it costs to ship, what happens with tax, and how long the carrier quotes. Everything we sell is supplied for laboratory research use only.
How orders reach Vancouver
Vancouver is in our standard 2 to 9 business day band, with expedited service quoted at about 1 to 3 business days between major centres. The mountain passes between Alberta and the coast are the usual winter variable.
Shipping is a flat $20 anywhere in Canada and free once your order passes $140 after any discount. Orders usually leave within 48 hours, Monday to Friday, apart from statutory holidays, and the tracking number is emailed to you when the parcel goes out. Delivery estimates are the carrier's, not a promise from us, and they leave out the mailing day, weekends and statutory holidays.
- Vancouver is one hour behind the warehouse, so an order placed first thing here lands mid-morning Mountain Time.
- Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey and North Vancouver are handled as major-centre destinations along with the city itself.
- Addresses on Vancouver Island are not Vancouver: they are reached by ferry connection and are quoted as non-major destinations, which can add days.
Sales tax on an order delivered to Vancouver
A parcel delivered in Vancouver is a delivery into British Columbia, so both taxes apply there in principle: 5% GST from the Canada Revenue Agency plus the province’s own 7% PST.
That is the general rule for goods delivered there, and it is not what this store charges. No sales tax is added at checkout, so the price plus shipping is what you pay. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and payment is by Interac e-Transfer: you place the order, then we email you the address to send the transfer to and the amount, which is the total you already saw at checkout.
Tested before it ships
Batches go to an independent lab, submitted blind, and the lab measures two things with HPLC, a standard method that separates what is in a sample so each part can be measured: how pure the material is, and how much peptide the vial holds. Those numbers are published per batch, and the lot printed on the vial appears on the certificate, so you can match the paperwork to the thing in your hand. Read the published lab reports.
