Research peptides in Alberta

Alberta is our home province: the warehouse the parcels leave from is here, so an Alberta order is the shortest leg we ship. It is also the only province where the stock never leaves the province it started in.

Lux BioPure is a Canadian research-materials business. We hold stock in our own warehouse in Alberta, send every batch to an outside lab before it goes on sale, and publish the certificate that lab writes. Everything below is about how an order reaches Alberta: what it costs to ship, what happens with tax, and how long the carrier quotes. Everything we sell is supplied for laboratory research use only.

How orders reach Alberta

Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge are major urban centres in our standard 2 to 9 business day band, and in practice an in-province parcel is at the short end of it. Northern Alberta communities off the main highway network are the exception, and fall into the up-to-13 business day band.

Shipping is a flat $20 anywhere in Canada and free once your order passes $140 after any discount. Orders usually leave within 48 hours, Monday to Friday, apart from statutory holidays, and the tracking number is emailed to you when the parcel goes out. Delivery estimates are the carrier's, not a promise from us, and they leave out the mailing day, weekends and statutory holidays.

  • The order ships from inside Alberta, so an Alberta parcel never leaves the province and never touches an interprovincial hub.
  • Alberta is on Mountain Time, the same clock the warehouse runs on, so a cut-off time here means what it says without any conversion.
  • Alberta’s two largest cities, Calgary and Edmonton, are about three hours apart by road, and both are served daily by the carriers we use.

Sales tax on an order delivered to Alberta

Alberta is the one province with no provincial sales tax at all. The Canada Revenue Agency applies 5% GST to taxable goods and nothing else is added on top of it.

That is the general rule for goods delivered there, and it is not what this store charges. No sales tax is added at checkout, so the price plus shipping is what you pay. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and payment is by Interac e-Transfer: you place the order, then we email you the address to send the transfer to and the amount, which is the total you already saw at checkout.

Tested before it ships

Batches go to an independent lab, submitted blind, and the lab measures two things with HPLC, a standard method that separates what is in a sample so each part can be measured: how pure the material is, and how much peptide the vial holds. Those numbers are published per batch, and the lot printed on the vial appears on the certificate, so you can match the paperwork to the thing in your hand. Read the published lab reports.
